Toen in maart 2010 mijn Amerikaanse miniatuur hengst Bailey werd geboren, was hij nogal gekruld. Op zich is dat niet vreemd bij de geboorte\u2026 Maar toen hij na 5 maanden zijn krullen nog steeds had, ben ik op zoek gegaan naar informatie. Zo ontdekte ik de Curly paardjes dus eigenlijk bij toeval.<\/span><\/p>\n

Door contact met andere mensen over Curly’s (en dat zijn er niet veel), begon ik te begrijpen dat ik misschien een heel speciaal veulen had gefokt.<\/p>\n

Na verder uitpluizen op het internet begreep ik dat er indertijd ongeveer 20 miniatuur Curly paardjes op deze aarde rondliepen, althans die op internet bekend waren.<\/p>\n

Inmiddels zijn we 10 jaar verder en blijken Curly’s nog altijd zeldzaam. Bij Bailey zijn de meeste krullen verdwenen. Jammer, alhoewel na een test van zijn haar toch bleek dat de samenstelling van zijn vacht net als bij andere Curly’s hypo-allergeen<\/a><\/strong> was. <\/span><\/p>\n

De laatste jaren ben ik me echt serieus in dit paardenras gaan verdiepen en recentelijk besloot ik me hier volledig op te focussen. Intussen heb ik twee echte Curly dekhengsten ge\u00efmporteerd; Stanley en Black Beauty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
